As you are going to have to fabricate a mount for the dome light back there anyways, may as well have fun and cut some plastic!
P.S. You're dash looks like the one in mine until I ripped it out last week. Hit a bump and it suffered a fatal crack that went all the way to behind the instrument cluster. Found a grey one in a local yard and am now waiting for Sherwin Williams to hurry up with my color matched paint. Love these old trucks, but damn can they be a pain to maintain.
