Figured i'd make a thread for all of my other current projects and vehicles that take time away from my GMT's. I never know how long i'm going to have some of this stuff, and I never know when i'm going to find something new and interesting so i'll just lump them all together.
I'll start with the one i've had the longest, a 1995 Suzuki Sidekick that I swapped an SR20DET in two years ago. Runs and drives pretty good, but could use more tinkering. Only gets driven on warm sunny summer days.
Next, is a co-owned SCCA rally car, a 2002 Infiniti G20. We've used it for a few events, so its certainly gotten beat up, and could always use some improving, but it's at the point where we don't really want to put any money into it unless its a necessity.
I picked up this 1978 MGB for cheap on Craigslist, because it was cheap and cool. Didn't come with an engine, but rolls and steers at least. Was in the middle of a restoration and the PO gave up. Obviously has no paint, but would make a cool rat rod. Sold the transmission that came with it, so i'm into it for $200.
Newest acquisition is this 1995 Suzuki Sidekick, well, whats left of it. The PO shortened the frame by 2 feet, and had hopes of turning it into an off road golf cart. He wanted out of the project, so I got the whole rolling chassis, most of the interior, and the body, even though its shot for $200. I'm going to take a couple parts off of the body and scrap that, so it will be more like $150
Not too sure what my route will be for that yet, but I was contemplating hacking up the MGB and putting that body on the Sidekick frame, but who knows.
I do also have this 1994 Civic. It's been my daily beater for pretty much the past 4 years. I've beat the crap out of it, and it has really been nothing but reliable. Only thing is, reliable doesn't mean good. It just needs so many things that I should fix, but don't want to put the money into it. I'm looking at a potential new daily driver on Wednesday. If that works out, I'll either sell it for a few hundred bucks, or potentially keep it and turn it into a demo car.
So yeah, this is what takes time away from my other 3 GMTs.
