So what does my 94 have?

Welders can weld, and fitters can fit, but the porta-can-man knows his ****.

94 What? Nissan? Toyota?

If it's a 1994 gm 1/2 ton, it will have a 4L60E.

94 3/4 ton would get a 4L80E.

Yes sorry, lift keys with the 3/4 bars is what I was getting at.

Or, there is not a ton of room mind you but a helper shock (coil on shock) would that fit? Or air shocks up front that you can up pressure when plow is on truck?

Bars and keys will end up being the most practical answer I bet

At this point I'm trying to keep it cheap. I could go crazy and do air or something but I just put shock on the truck a couple months ago, that i don't really want to uninstall. That's why I've been trying to figure out if torsion bars will work or not

It is a different story but setup could become the same. My 3/4 ton when it was IFS still I did a spacer under the upper control arm in between the balljoint, and cranked the bars. When I did that I had to run a 1-2.5inch longer shock and had to shave the upper bumpstops down so that the suspension would lift up a little higher.

It was all a bit hack, but it worked, drove and cleared everything just fine. May not happen to you but just incase you get there and were wondering if anyone has done some oddball hackery of the IFS, or are wondering whats binding or not working. Happy motoring!
