Also, do long tube headers to get the full benefits. IMO I would weld instead of clamp. You could also braze them with a torch equipped with a brazing tip and correct brazing rods then clamp for extra assurance if a welder is not available. Good luck with your upgrade.

That's what I'll look for then. I ride the ol' girl pretty hard. Lower temps will help.
