RI has like zero jobs....i dont know how people survive out there....job market is worst than CT even!
We've lived in Indiana since we were married because it's so much less stressful. You don't have the nice beaches but you can afford to have a pretty decent life for much less money.

thats what im looking for....cant afford to live here, i have an 800 sq ft house i paid 120k for! and heating oil, taxes, gas food etc is just so expensive you have nothing left to enjoy after bills all paid.

not to mention nothing to do around here. no drag strips, nascar tracks, no pro sports teams, football 2 hours away any direction, no concerts unless you like dave Mathews band or pop crap, no where to shoot or off road without getting busted. worst part is the people up here are horrible! i have been cross country a few times, get off the east coast and out of new England and its like a whole other country, people are so much nicer!

That's actually kind of funny -- up here in Canada it's kind of the opposite - out West is all serious work and big money, back here in the Atlantic region we're the friendliest people on Earth and the cost of living (for everything besides gas, groceries and cars) is dirt cheap. Saw a freshly renovated 2 story, 4 bedroom, 2 bath house sitting on 14 acres with a full barn for $109,000 CAD not too long ago. If I had a bit more saved for a down payment I would've bought it.

swapped tire with my spare, plugged the leaking tire and mounted on spare rim. so nice not having to air my tire up everyday.
looked for fuel leak twice now and found nothing! and did not leak....just started today and saw fuel running onto the ground.....damn, gotta fix this leak. strange it pours out then goes to nothing at all for a week.

in other news....got a agent and put my house for sale for the last time! short sale so im out no matter what! already started packing the clutter.

i went to do taxes and see how much moving money i would have to get to Texas.....
i owe $300!!!
i paid $2000 in Connecticut income tax! that's a dollar an hour they take right off the top of my paycheck before i even see it!!! just to live here, not counting my car taxes that are about to be due, i pay the state $150 a year of tax on my truck....just for owning it....a 18 year old truck that is paid off ! and when i got it and registered it i had to pay taxes on the book value of it also! oh and dont forget our 44 cents a gallon tax on every single gallon of gas! i HATE the state of Connecticut and its ****** laws and taxes!!!
i can not wait to move to a red state, these liberals are insane. cant even eat breakfast at a dennys without hearing tons of people defend the black panther party, how they want to take in and hug all the refugees, and ban us evil white folk from owning guns!!!! cant take this place anymore.....
cant wait to be a refugee from the failed state of Connecticut!!! everyone with a brain is fleeing the state....

That sounds like the most horrible place ever.
yup. tax you to death.....oh and they keep banning our guns....
if you have a ar-15 you are a felon now.
if you have any magazine that holds more than 10 bullets you are a felon.
if you registered them in the 90 window they had you can have them but not take them anywhere or carry or shoot them unless at a certified range....if you stop for gas and get caught....you are a felon, even if registered and permitted!!!
So basically if you made the 90 day window you can legally possess an AR-15. But you cannot fire it unless you have a certified range on your property since transporting it to a certified range is a felony. Essentially they've outlawed a firearm style without completely outlawing it. I'd be miserable and I don't blame you for wanting out. That's some ****** up ****.

Sorry to here about your tire and fuel problems, it sucks!

I don't know if this will make you feel any better about your taxes but I pay almost $750 in income tax/month (last year I paid over $9000 in income tax), gasoline & diesel is about 90% taxes (gasoline is currently at $5.31/gallon which is the cheapest it's been in about a decade). Everything we buy has 25% taxes on it. We also pay taxes on our vehicles, my truck is about $438/year and the Magnum is around $377/year (the Impala is tax free cos it's over 30yo). Living in Sweden is about as expensive as living on Hawaii. Born free, taxed to death!
Oh and the refugee thing, I'll just say this: we're less than 10 million people in Sweden, last year we took in over 160.000 refugees, it got so out of hand we had to close our borders... Before that, we were about 500.000 homes sort, 15 years of waiting to get a rental apartment... now it's even worse. Right now all thoes refugees goes before students and 18-mid 20's "kids" about to get their own place. Most apartments are the kind you buy, you have to put down 15% in cash and have a steady income to get a loan which students and 18-25yo don't have, hence the rental apartment.
I've been considering moving to Denmark or Norway, they're a lot tougher on letting refugees in.

If you know about our gun laws your heads would explode, so I won't go into that. :)

Sucks you're having so many issues with your truck! That cold is hard on things... I've never lived in anything quite that cold, but I still remember having to deal with temps in the low negatives in Kentucky from time to time. I don't miss that.

I had no idea RI was that bad on everything else.

I have to admit, I spent the better part of a year working in New York, Vermont & New Hampshire. I've traveled all over the world, lived all over the country and I've never seen such rude, condescending people with ZERO manners or common courtesy in my entire life. It was a real shame because it is beautiful country around there. Aside from the winter apocalypse every year and vehicles rusting before they were a year old, it was really nice there.
Texas doesn't have state income Tax. Last year I had to pay in a little, but this year I got about $600 back. They even have a "tax free weekend" once a year with no sales tax.

yes....kinda....NO one registered their "assault weapons"...only 50,000 rifles were registered in CT!!!! thats nothing!.....
That 50,000 figure could be as little as 15 percent of the rifles classified as assault weapons owned by Connecticut residents, according to estimates by people in the industry, including the Newtown-based National Shooting Sports Foundation. No one has anything close to definitive figures, but the most conservative estimates place the number of unregistered assault weapons well above 50,000, and perhaps as high as 350,000.

And that means as of Jan. 1, Connecticut has very likely created tens of thousands of newly minted criminals — perhaps 100,000 people, almost certainly at least 20,000 — who have broken no other laws. By owning unregistered guns defined as assault weapons, all of them are committing Class D felonies.

now if it is registered, you have a fingerprinted sheet that needs to be with the rifle at all times, can transport to and from real, certified range (not your friends farm) as long as you dont stop. oh and if you have a mag that holds more than 10 rounds better have papers on that too! and not load over 10 rnds in it or your breaking the law! so stupid!!!

i protested on the state capital with thousands others, with a locked and loaded .45 openly on my hip, .380 in my pocket, and a brown bess muzzle loader on my solder....

me at rally...someone snapped a pic of me around the same time and pic just like this of me was in a few papers
You must be registered for see images attach

big rolling hill in hartford ct, tons of patriots you cant see in pic.....gotta say, this showed me that they aint all bad around here.....figured id be alone!

thanks, ill get the truck straightened out, it is a drag when it brakes!

wow....screw them taxes! CT and pretty much all of new england love European government....the democrats here are all about that. heck, we have a guy running for president that is a self proclaimed socialist!....and hes doing great!

as for the refugees here, my governor, the one coming up with the crazy gun laws and always following around obama, has made a few citys here sanctuary citys for illegals.meaning if you dont belong here, we give you free housing, food, healthcare etc.....then he took in some crazynumber of Syrian refugees!

took away my (a natural born citizen) second amendment rights, saying i cant be trusted even with a permit, local, state and federal background check, mental health check and finger prints on record with the local and state police and the fbi!!!.....but let refugees with almost zero background check from a country at war with us in to my state and took my tax dollars to pay for stuff for them!

have you ever been to America? i cant say ive been out of the country but over the border to mexico a few times, never even been to canada right next door (go figure,eh.haha) but i will say Americas a pretty awesome place!
you should come check it out sometime! come on over, we'll get you free housing and food and healthcare too! hahaha, you can see tons of super sexy old american cars, shoot some guns, see a rodeo, eat deep fried butter...hahaha thats a real thing (we get crazy with deep friers around fair season, if it fits-it fries...hahaha)
