Thought I better update this a little....

Truck now has a new exhaust! I love loud exhausts but my glasspacks sounded awful. I also had 2 or 3 exhaust leaks on top of that. Now my truck is dead silent at idle but screams when I get on it. My old headers were rusted so bad a torch was needed to cut them off. The truck itself is running good and problems are minimal (for the first time!) Next project is to get the IFS rebuilt and I've already begun to collect parts. After that the rear section of the frame will need some attention. The section where the spare tire was and still is rotting. I'm hoping I can get to that by early December before salt season hits the northeast. If money and time permit the TopKick handles will be painted and installed. I really don't have any plans in the future other than getting the bodywork and interior done. Maybe a lift next spring. Now that summer is here I plan on spending more time with my Nova while I can just cruise and enjoy the truck when needed. Enough talk, here are some header pictures!

It rusted in two pieces, from all the work I've had done on the truck so far my guess is that the previous owners of the truck (whoever they may be) neglected the truck and never really rinsed the salt or mud off of it when done with using it for whatever purpose. The top piece was held together with metal wire to keep it from slipping out of place. The main goal right now is playing catch up from all the years of neglect the truck has taken.

The blue moon cruisers had one on the Carlisle pike on the 1st but I couldn't make it due to work. The next is July 6th but I can guarantee it will be small since it is a holiday weekend. My father and myself will be at the GM Nationals at Carlisle the 22nd with our Novas, if you're there feel free to stop by!

Not sure if you went down to York for the Street Rod show but I went on a cruise with my neighbor his friend with a 600 HP turbo S-10 and his friend who had a 9 second 1/4 mile Camaro. The show and the amount of cars on and along route 30 was amazing. It's probably as close as you can get to going back in time.

When going out to make sure I had a 14 bolt I looked up and saw that the rust on the frame had worsened, a lot. I know I've tossed the idea back and forth about selling it but frame rust is getting out of my league for a college restoration project. The truck has been running awesome recently for the exception of the passenger window coming off the track and a coolant leak I tracked down to a hose. I like 4 wheel drive but my heart belongs to muscle cars lol.
