    1998 Silverado 4wd Issues

How tight should the axle shaft be to the bearing and seal? The shaft doesn't really look worn but just one hit from a hammer and it came out of the housing... Could be worn shaft?

    1998 Silverado 4wd Issues

Took a pry bar to the passenger side axle and it could move back and forth ~3/4" so i took it out. Found the snap ring was broken. Question is....my grandpa has been driving the truck and i noticed he had it in 4wd the whole time. Could this cause any problems? I only found 2/3 of the snap...

I've been out of the market for a whole but I'm looking for a new set of wheels for the chev! Something in 16 or 17", 8" wide with something close to a 4.5" backspacking is what I'm looking for. Black or something polished maybe? I attached a pic of some old wheels I had that were 16" 4.5"...

    Lights behind chev grille

Long story short I sold my cummins and I'm back in the chev! Lookin to put either 2 rigid dually style (looking at other companies) or a 20"light bar behind the grille. Wondering if anyone has done this before and if there is enough room back there. Thanks!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Front Diff leaking oil..

It really is that easy i just did it. Just get a jack under the CV shaft where it connects to the front diff and lower it to get at the seal. You can also just take the CV shaft out

Off roading trip today, accident on the way home (lots of pics)

Scary story and glad that everyone is ok. Truck looks a little beat up but couldve been a lot worse. And tailgating your buddy so he doesnt dust ya out is pretty dumb imo. Follow him from a distance to get out of the dust, your lucky you slowed down or it sounds like it could have been much worse.

any idea what your fender heights are? wonder if mine could pull of tow mirrors now that i have offset wheels with 33" mud tires, with crank and rear air bags. I'm at 38.5" all around

GMT400 You can't quit looking at!

A 1/4 on a 18ft bumper pull isnt much, same with 2 1/4 tons on a goosneck, not a substantialy amount of weight for a dually. Not trying to start an argument but I'd love to see one tow anywhere near its max towing capacity. And they are restricted to pavement which deems them useless in my books.

    Lifted Crew Cab 454!!!!

Pretty sure the spark plugs are the same but im not 100% sure. I know for a 350 they are gapped at .060 and I think the same for a 454. I have also heard of guys gapping plugs at .045 for big blocks to improve power and get a smoother idle. Might be something to read into
