i had a CCSB 350/4L80 with 3.73s, and was a dog. I'd doubt you spin the tires with stock size tires, 350s run good, but still lack low end torque to brake the tires loose. Also had a 1 ton with 3.42s. But that had a 454 and would lite the tire up. With 35s!!! Going around a corner tho.....but still lol....

Granted I had a 6395' cam and Thorley tri-ys at the time, I did not have trouble breaking the tires loose if I gave it full throttle from a stop on my 97 Express with the old 5.7L, 4L85E and a 9.5" 14-bolt with a 3.73 G80. I had 295/50R15s on it at the time. I actually have timing pulled out of the 383 at lower rpm, high load to prevent it from just boiling the rear tires now.

Small tires!!! Im not saying a 350 is a slug, just that its in a heavy a$$ truck. My old Yukon had 35s on it with 3.73s, and wasn't a rocket off the line. Once it was going it was ok, but there are alot of hills where I am, and need torque to pull em....

My Tahoe won't even peel out on good dry pavement with lt265-75-r16's...but I know my rings are half worn.

If you still have poppet injectors I'd change them to the updated injector system. The old poppets and/or and fuel pressure regulator leak. I milked mine for years and all my computer/exhaust issues were resulted as soon as I the spider system.

If you have a 4.3L V6, then ya, definitely underpowered. Lol
You don't mention the actual engine you actually have.
But given the tire size, you would definitely benefit from some lower gears, like 4:10s. Would get you back closer to what it would feel like if you had stock diameter tires.
3/4 tons don't come with V6s. he's either got a 350 or a 454 maybe a diesel? i'm leaning to 350.

i'm not sure what you mean by "built top end " assuming heads rockers and cam? ....truthfully what's making you feel the power loss is the combo of 35s and 3:73s. You need to be at 4:10 or 4:56s with 35s. 4:10 will allow a 33/35 tire and 4:56 will allow a 35/37 tire range.
my GMC had 35s. i ended up with 4:56. went to 33s and it was still good to go. RPMs we're a bit higher though.

right now your tires are throwing the trans/engine out of its power band/ shift patterns. either regear or go to a smaller tire. on a 3:73 you may be ok with maybe a 32 tire maybe push a 33. but 35s....
