    To me its not about where the vehicle is "made" its about profit. The profit from sales of companies like toyota, nissan, honda, and even chrysler (now that fiat bought them) all goes to a foreign country.

    I did want input. but to be honest I am completly happy with my 4.3, The tail lights came on it and I want to swap to blacked out ones, and the rust is an obvious suggestion.

    Yeah I got the new exhaust manifold and y-pipe put in. That fixed the leak haha Then I put a tach I had laying around on it, i know, i know "its not a honda", but I like to see my engine rpms. Call it habit. Then I put my new JVC head unit in, and lastly I put the new grenade shift knob on it...

    So I can get a killer deal on a 2 in lift kit for a 2500. Its a add-a-leaf and keys kit. Could I use it on my 1500? Would it even fit?

    Ok let me straighten this out real quick. They did in fact make the 4.3 Vortecs before the 5.7 Vortecs that came out in 96. In fact it first came out in 1988 4.3 "Vortec" that used "vortex technology" to create a vortex inside the combustion chamber, creating a better air/fuel mix...

    If I can find one I would. And it is a vortec for sure I checked the numbers on the block and called chevy. Its not the 350 vortec(obviously) but it has the vortec heads. Why would you think its not?

    Well I got some more dont to the truck. New JVC head unit and new tach. Getting the blower motor tomorrow to get rid of that heater whinning. Also picking up the exhaust manifold. Getting the y-pipe and cat next week and putting it all on next weekend. Pics soon

    The 4x4 on the floor is 7/16 14 thread size. I just took mine off and measured it today bc Im making a knob for it

    More plans than money thats for sure haha I want to get some black rims and get the body fixed and painted. Im thinking a 5 in lift and 35s. I also want to do a custom interior. Paint and leather.
