So I can get a killer deal on a 2 in lift kit for a 2500. Its a add-a-leaf and keys kit. Could I use it on my 1500? Would it even fit?

Maybe this is just on NBS, but I think 3/4 ton (K2500) keys are actually indexed in a way that they'll actually lower our 1/2 tons (K1500). So if you have "lift" keys for a K2500, then they're probably no different than the stock keys that you have now.

Either way, you don't really need re-indexed "lift" keys for these trucks anyways. Just crank up your stock ones, do whatever you want to do to level the rear if it needs it, and call it good.

the best bet to get two inches is either gonna be a block on the rear or an add a leaf then you can crank the front. ANY aftermarket key for the 400's are a waste of money the stock keys will lift it to the bumpstops, as high as it can physically go. the aftermarket keys can do only the same no higher.

Alright sounds good. I'll try and find a few add a leafs for the back and just crank the front

Also the front control arms are different on both trucks. The control arms on the 2500 are wider than the 1500 so the front end dimensions are different
