Really happy with the Phillips HIR's!

I was out in my 2500 last night and said to my self 'I need a better set of headlight bulbs'. As far as I know they are stock - I've never touched them in almost 5 years. I was gonna get a set of Silverstars, but now with a little digging I find the HIRs are far better then the Silverstars.

Anyways do the 9011/9012 bulbs just fit in place of the 9005/9006 or does the headlight housing need modified?

Both of my trucks have OEM GM Headlights, not aftermarket housings. I put a set of PIAAs in my SS about 15 years ago and they still work fine, but this stock crap gotta go on the 2500.

Just the tabs on the light bulbs themselves have to be modded. A nail clipper works best! Use the original bulbs as a guide to what has to clipped off.

Night shots. These are Ebay crystal clear housings without glare caps. Still not sure that they are adjusted exactly right but WAY better than stock for sure.

Straight down my driveway low beam...

Had time to get a new windshield in the old girl before it goes to the shop for the injectors. I can see clearly now. :banana-mario:

Little bit of a guilty pleasure today. Couldn't resist doing some black with satin clear on the valve covers and sanding off the ribs.

Really tickled with how clean and pristine the inside of the motor is. Should be back together this evening.
