What are the benefits of a sf compared to a ff compared to non-float?
Why would you want to convert to 6 lug?Full-floaters have a 10.5" ring gear and are stronger than a 9.5" semi-floater. You can get SF in 6-luggers, and SF 8-luggers are easily converted to 6 with new axleshafts.
FF only came in 8-lugs, and require an expensive kit to convert to 6 (like $500 or something IIRC).
Non float would be when you forget to tighten your lug nuts all the way and....
Why would you want to convert to 6 lug?
Oh. He made it sound like it was for something other than looks. In my case, I'd need to convert to 5 lug though...to match your front rims?

Well I mean, why not convert the front?Looks? No....
Rotating tires is rather difficult when your front doesn't match your rear. And carrying two sets of spares would be annoying to say the least. IMO.

And like I said, if I go 14b, I would need to convert to 5 lug to match my fronts.
