What are the benefits of a sf compared to a ff compared to non-float?

Nothing special, wire brushed it painted it, all new drum brakes

im not sure but I've never heard of a non float

Did some deeper Googling and only came up with one mention of non-floating and that was in a Wikipedia article. I cant remember where I'd heard of whatever I was thinking, but I did find something that I think might be informative to someone.
