first off... I know, I know... this has been a very frequent question.... and YES I've searched... but....

1998 c1500. lowering the truck...

What is the ideal dimensions for a 16", 17", or 18" wheel to go with a 4/6 drop or possibly lower?

ive got a round about figure in my head but I don't want to buy the wheel then run into issues.....

Edit: I'm trying NOT to have to cut anything (well other than for the flip kit)

any help Is appreciated.

Didn't mention width which is one of the most important factors here, mostly in the front. For an 8.5" wheel you want at bare minimum, 5.25" backspacing. 5.5" is even better, especially if you plan on going more than 4" front drop. 9" wheel 5.5" or don't even bother. For a 10" rear you want in the neighborhood of 6" backspacing.

Regardless you will be rolling the front fender lip, no big deal, and no cutting needed. Just hammer it in.
