I'm replacing my OBS dash with a one of a '96. I also have all the electrical wiring but got some questions. I see tons of posts of people who already done this before but I'm wondering how they did the steering column and the bulkhead connector.
For the steering column, the connector is completely different and the 96 has many more wires. Do you also need the 96 steering column or can it be done with the original one?

Next the bulkhead connector is completely different and doesn't even fit in the firewall. Should I cut the firewall or use the obs connector and wiring)?
Anyone got an idea what the wires on the right side of the connector are used for? Don't have that on the '89....
