96 and 97 K1500's.

The brake light and tail light bulbs. Looking at the Philliips LED's and RA says red LEDS, but the lens is already red. Clear bulbs are what originally go in the there.

I would think that white LEDS go in the brake light and tail light sockets? Or do the red work? Or do they work better?

Red will show up better than the white, the white will make the lens look pink when lit lol.

The bulbs you need are the 3157 SRCK (or non-polarity) LED bulbs. I have had good luck with these: https://www.amazon.com/Antline-Brilliant-12-24V-Replacement-Parking/dp/B079HS8DJD/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=antline+3157+red+non+polarity&qid=1594055290&sr=8-6&th=1

There are also these if you want your brake lights to be even brighter, didn't realize they had these: https://www.amazon.com/ANTLINE-Extr...e+3157+red+non+polarity&qid=1594055290&sr=8-5

Edit: you will need this flasher to remove hyperflash once you install the LEDs: https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/...nal-flasher/ep29/4542961?q=ep29+flasher&pos=0

^ This. With LEDs you want to match the output color to the color of the lens they're going behind.

And yes as mentioned you will need SRCK compatible LEDs for the middle sockets on the tail lights. The other ones don't matter.

Those projector style in the 2nd link are definitely the brightness you want; the other link just aren't very bright by comparison. There just aren't a huge variety of choices in SRCK-compatible LED's so you gotta roll with what you can find for that middle (brake/turn/tail) socket.

Thank you to all three of you. Didn't know to match bulb color to lens.

I'm looking at the Phillips bulbs on RA 'cause I'm ordering some other parts. Are the Phillips good bulbs? I have seen the results of guys installing "off brand" cheap bulbs in the past and want to stay away from that.

Do you have a link to the specific ones you're talking about? In my experience it's less about the brand and more about the overall construction and design. Some of the more expensive options (Sylvania ZEVO for example) are actually worse than many of the cheap Chinese options IMO.

I run stock incandescent lights in most locations (I like the factory hyperflash feature to identify dead bulbs) but for what it's worth I run these in my reverse lights and really like them. They've got a stock looking glass globe over the LED tower so if you're running aftermarket tails that are a little more clear these still look relatively factory. They're really bright, too.

They make a dual function 3057/3157 variation of that same style that would work for the tail/brake sockets if it were SRCK compatible, unfortunately I have no idea if it is or not. Maybe someone at SBLEDs could answer that in an email.
