Vortech V6 running like dirt

While I have been working on the 92 I have been driving a 99 Jimmy as a beater, and ever since I started driving it I have noticed the thing has zero balls and has a ***** of a time getting above half throttle. What I have recently started noticing is that when I give it throttle it sounds like a poorly adjusted carbureted engine. This thing has had two new fuel pumps and multiple filters so at this point out of ideas except for the vortech system. Anyone got some opinions?

Have you done a good tune-up lately? Cap, coil, rotor, plugs, & wires. Plus the 'Big 3'.
I agree with BABD. Could be a plugged up catastrophc perverter, too.
