Vortec upgrade

Okay, here's what I got going. 1991 Chevy C1500, TBI 350.

About to build a 383 and need advice.

Which is more viable:

1) Use current engine block and put Vortec heads on it and put a Vortec TBI intake on it.

2) Get block from 96+ truck and rework the heads and put Vortec TBI intake on it.

Either option is doable. Just wondering which y'all think would be the better option.

Just getting heads and a carb intake would be cheaper if you are keeping the tbi setup anyway

Didn't know a carb intake would work with tbi. Don't know why I didn't think of that. Thanks.

No problem, all you need is an adapter plate (around $40) and you're good to go
