tranny issues in my 97 step side with a 5/8

does anybody else have tranny problems with a reg cab truck .my drivesharft is shortened an inch but i thinbk i have to put shims in to fix the angle what degree shim would be a good start to try.ive already blown out the rear planetary and tail shaft bearing .

I would suggest instead of getting shim's that you buy DJM's newer adjustable pinion flip bracket's, they allow you to adjust your pinion angle to whatever you want.
