It has 245s on it now and they're just not to my liking. Im thinking a 275/70-16 will be what i go with.
Had it out in the woods this afternoon. Could not have too much fun as it just sits too low with the 20% tread 245 tires on it, but where i did go i was impressed the way it would just dig in and keep going!

The windshield is still leaking so i started taking a real close look at where it could be coming from and i think i found it.
Spraying water on that spot and it will sure enough run down on the inside. With the pillar trim off you can see it plain as day and i believe now i have found the exact spot.
There is no way i can reseal the windshield properly and i don't want to get a new windshield till next spring when they stop putting gravel on the roads.
The best plan i could come up with was trying to stop the water from even getting to the area.
First i got as much of the old glue out then sprayed some 90% isopropyl alcohol in there soaking it all real good then wiping the area with a rag till it was as clean as i could get it. blowing it out with compressed air after.
Using a syringe with a long tip i filled the area with silicone making sure i was sealing it up good everyplace it even looked like water might get in.
Hope this seals it up for now this time.

Careful where you take er off road, unless you have a G80 or better locking rear end, which I dont. My Burb sinks like a stone and has been buried 4 times now. you would think I would learn from the previous times but no. I sunk her last winter by falling into some previous ruts that were hidden under snow that I made with my pick up hauling firewood. it has the G80 and with enough weight seems to be unstoppable even though it has normal road tires and is RWD.

my burb sinks like a rock in really wet shìt and it happens fast, it sucks. I need a G80 in it. but I absolutely love my Burb I just need to remember where to draw the line. lol. and then use my pick up instead. haha

congrats on the new Burb!

I think after 20+ years, the gaskets and sealers shrink, and that helps make leaks. My Burb was doing this bad earlier this year, and I put a bunch of sealer across the top edge of the windshield. Noticed in the hard rain early this week that there's still a small leak...so on payday I'll be getting some black silicone and recaulking that top edge.

G80s seem to get a bad rap from a lot of people but i have had 4,GMT400's and not one ever gave me a problem but then again i don't really abuse my stuff either.
Seems you have a hard to find NON G80. I don't think i have ever seen one without it that i can remember.

I have a k1500 you have a k2500 so maybe that's the difference. My Burb is slt and has every single standard option so I just assumed this was the standard and a G80 k1500 Burb had to be ordered. I dont have a clue though.

my C1500 sierra with the G80 will roast both tires on dry pavement. I think doing that is probably what kills them. lol this was my buddies truck and he would roast the tires all the time. fùck there's a 2 wheel stripe in front of my house and it's from my truck but from when my buddy owned it. LOL.

I had 285/75-16 tires on my truck when I bought it. The torsions were cranked and the tires chewed on the side fender/bumper filler and the back of the fender flares (the axles were pushed back 1"-1.5" though from the previous owner's abuse) and it still ate the front. I hated them. I put 235/85-16 tires on and de-cranked the torsion bars.
Looks like the 6.2 Detroit diesel if I’m correct from the pics?

Keep talkin' like that and you'll git yer mouth washed out with soap! Diesel fuel makes me break out in hives!

It's the bumper from my 94 sub diesel. It's temporary. it has some cut yer leg off holes in it. I carved it up as a template for a nicer one to be cut for the winch!
