Depends on the truck. Restoration/street truck - leave it on.

Off road play truck - take it off.

I take mine off because we used to do it in high school and I know it will get ripped off anyway.

Right??? Especially OEM tow hook valances that are in good shape. I'll take them all. I'm getting ready to replace my third one so far. First due to curb breakage, second due to crash damage, third we're back to curb breakage. Having a valance on a lowered truck is tricky but I'm committed.
