Just had a guy in the off road club say that I can use my ifs shaft and convert the front for the HP44. Says it works on his truck and doesn't have any problems at full droop.

Anyone know what kind of joint is on the front of the IFS shaft?

I'm sure you got it figured out now. but for everyone else, its a s44 ujoint, and the conversion joint is a moog 372.

Yeah I do.

Bu just trying to figure out if the stock IFS shaft is going to be long enough for the application. With scooting the axle forward ~1", and with all the droop, not sure it will be.

My stock shaft reached when I had the 10 " ifs lift.
Just wouldnt work with the 44 because of the diff sitting lower than the ifs diff did causing more of an angle.

Get a stock early 80s to early 90s squarebody front driveline. It will have the proper spicer u-joint for the axle side already and be a CV driveline which you will want anyway if you plan to drive in 4wd at any road speeds. I'm running one with my low pinion D44.

I even went as far as breaking the bike out for a ride last night! Now, it was still a chilly #### ride, but fun nonetheless in January in Alaska!
