Overhead console garage opener

At the local yard I picked up this garage door opener, and was dumb enough not to follow the wiring to see how I could hook it up.. Any help here? There is 3 wires, white, black, and orange. Now I'm assuming that black is ground and orange is power? Here's some pics:

That's the one you need for the newer "rolling codes" door openers. Just about every single one made in the last 5-10 years is rolling code.

I had to change from the one with these style buttons:

You must be registered for see images attach


to this style:

You must be registered for see images attach


as my door opener wouldn't "see" the old style one.

i decided not to use the overhead console but save it for another projec, but i don't think this would work on my garage door, its like 30 years old!

Could always change the door opening mechanism on the garage door (if it doesn't work)

sorry to go off topic, but where did you get those door handles? I love them and mine need replaced.
