Ignition coil could be getting old and weak. You could pull it and check the fields.

Same thing Just happened to my c1500 and I replaced just about every thing and it ended up being the distributer

The more I think about it the distributor cap was probably the problem. After driving 200 miles the truck is running better than ever. I'm glad a $25 part fix the problem because I don't want to spend anymore money into this engine as I'm preparing to do a 383 swap with a coil per cylinder ignition system. I have the top end of the engine taken care of I just need to get the rest of the money together to have the short block built.
