Np 243 tranfer case issue

Yes I was n neutral b4 I engaged.

It sounds like a faulty t case. Something is worn or broken. From what I'm reading something isn't happy in there and I can't pin point exactly what because there is so many.

Maybe your actuator is worn. Not fully engaging. Slipping etc. Im out of ideas.

I've read some things bout the 243 case and some say it could b a broken snap ring or bearing retainer ring that's letting one of the shafts move more than it should.

I'm gonna tear it apart tomorrow and see if I can find the issue.

This is a long shot but. Look at the t case cross member look to see if it's broken. Because reverse would put a reversed torque then usual Maybe its mis aligned.
