no start when it rains

We've had rain for last 3 days here. I haven't been able to start my 4.3 since yesterday.

Luckily it's not my daily driver, but just bugs me that I can't figure this out!

I hooked up my scanner and the RPM does not show up on it? Is it supposed to? I thought it did. Next time it happens I'll check for injector pulse.

hi everyone 97 c1500 4.3l cranks has fuel but no start when it rained .
sprayed ignition coil with water bottle on a sunny day truck stall and wound not restart.
Change the coil or ignition module?
I think it the coil.
for all I know its the original.

If you sprayed the coil with water and the truck shut off and wouldn't restart then you already
Found your problem. Replace the coil. I had the exact same problem on my 96 tahoe,wouldn't start on humid or rainy days. New coil and it never had a problem again.

okay hi everyone thanks for your help.
coil had a crack visible by eye,changed it.
watered down the new one nothing happened .
Changed cap and rotor while I was at it.
fuel mileage went up.
