Hello to all,

I have been looking for quite some time for a site like this to join. I have a 1997 Silverado K1500 5.7L regular cab, short box with 150K miles. I've owned it 4 yrs now and have roughly put 50k miles on it. It is almost completely stock. I've got some questions to ask, but I figured I'd introduce myself first.

Thanks for the welcome!

Kyle, I actually graduated from NMSU back in '98 and I still get out to LC every now and again.

As for pictures, I'd like to. Can you upload pics to this site, or do you have to provide a link to something like photobucket?

First off, welcome! Second, all you have to do is create a photobucket, imgur, etc... account and upload the pic there. Then copy the IMG code into the reply box :waytogo:

A little more about myself....I teach middle school band and have so for the last 15 yrs. I own the following vehicles, besides my truck:

1977 Pontiac Trans Am SE Y82. 400 Pontiac stroked out to 461 and 400 turbo tranny. Doug's ceramic coated headers to 3 in Flowmaster dual exhaust. Edelbrock Performer RPM
Sean Murphy rebuilt Rochester QJet. Lots of other mods and restoration done. Mostly restored but still at it....never ends, huh? 3K miles

1987 Chevy Monte Carlo SS. Stock, except for ceramic-coated Edelbrock TES headers. I was going to swap in an LT1/4L60e out of an '95 Z28, but just recently bought an LS 2/4L60e
out of an '06 GTO with 26K miles. Plan to get to that swap within the year. 212K miles (not bad for the little 305/200-4R)

1989 Chevy IROC-Z28 Camaro. Stock, except for ceramic-coated Edelbrock TES headers and a Borla cat-back system. 5.7 TPI/700-4R with 90K miles. Purchased it from the original owner
in '06 with 55K.
