Hey folks,
I'm up to my elbows putting head gaskets on my '96 Tahoe. The water pump cratered without the usual warning and turned my daily driver into a fog machine. I'd do the updated spyder with injectors while I'm in there and use the Felpro gaskets. Been reading and watching videos as I pull the top off the motor. I've done sbc heads and cam and lots of mech stuff, but I'm not loving the intake on this beast. On my old Blazer, I swapped in a Vortec and converted to carb. Now I want FI, in a bad way... Anyway, I'm going in circles with all the cool ideas on this board, ie., marine intake, 0411 pcm, LSx swap... wow. For now, I'm going to try to get the Tahoe running and see how I feel about the stock setup afterward. If It goes back without too much ugly, I'll probably FI the old Blazer, as well...
