Neo4 led in mirror switch and cargo light switch

Idk if this has been covered in any other post sorry if it has but I couldn't find it, I've just finished with switching over all interior lights to led and my last 2 was mirror switch and cargo light switch I couldn't find anything on where to put my resistors so I took apart a neo4 led
Just unwrap and pull it apart

I burnt up (5) 3mm LEDs trying to get the resistors correct I'm not the most intelligent when it comes to electrical lol
