I am just finishing up doing this swap with out a wielder. It takes a lot of planning and measuring.
But I have done it.
I went with a 2005 Tahoe rear

I figured duct tape, but you may be correct....

Duct tape was to expensive for the farmer that taught me the "fixes" that had to be done around the farm. Bailing wire is cheaper and more plentiful lol.

Well i guess those new brakes didnt stop
Him to good and he has been in a ditch instead of sharing more info.

I have a 90 and ld 3/4 and i swapped in a aam 11.5 and disc had to cut off spring pads shock mounts and move them also have nbs front brakes all from a 03 parts truck i had

Did new rear axle have the correct gear ratio, or did you have to change ring and pinion? Did you install larger front Differential?
