Well it was the alternator... it failed all three tests...

hahaha getting another one this afternoon............ see how that goes.

That's the primary reason that I don't buy electrical parts from AZ, and don't buy "value line" remans from anybody. Those products are built to be a temporary fix at best, and if <50% come back they are making a profit.

what a pain in the butt
in the 4 years i have had my truck both the starter and alternator have been rebuilt not replaced
i had the alternator beefed up to the 140a setup since i had the weaker factory one

looks like Ill have to go back again... the truck is fine for now, but the (+) post on the new alternator is loose, just from my tightening the battery cable to it...

Ill wait a couple of paydays and return it and upgrade to the higher amperage one.

the post itself?
you should be able to tighten the nut that is holding the post itself, there should be one that would be under the battery cable terminal
