So i unplugged mine finally and that is the problem. Thanks for the info guys.

I wanna check to see if mine is stuck in Recirc or not. Are you talking about the small opening on the right side of the hump in the floor that's facing the passenger footwell? Just wanna make sure I'm checking the right spot.

Every 88-92 chevy i have ever been around makes that noise. I did'n know anything was actually wrong with them. Good to know in case i end up with another one of the era.

Stick you head under the passenger side dash and look up. Should look something like this:

You want the door closed so it can't suck in cabin air. Pulling in cabin air is the recirc position.
