Forward facing steady burn blue is also very frowned upon. I had green (which has absolutely no designation what so ever in Michigan) in my Lund moonvisor lights and got a ticket.
Also I heavily recommend a 3157 swap. Get some new body sockets, wire them in, and that's all. Might have to scuff a hair off a tab but all the ones I've installed so far have fit in with a little love on the first run in.
