Sounds like you got it fixed :waytogo:

I don't know if a '99 has the high pressure switch in the back of the compressor like the old trucks but the connector can break and cause cycling issues also. They're real easy to check, with the A/C switched on see if the clutch cycles when you move the connector.

The connector on the harness for the cycle switch commonly goes bad on the older trucks but the newer trucks have a different design on them if I remember corectly

mine did the same thing a few years ago. I checked everything all was ok. I tried jumping the low pressure switch and the compressor kicked on. changed the switch and all is well.
