just got 2000 3500

hi everyone i just bought a 2000 c3500 to tow my camper with and im wondering why its hard to find stuff for it but its easy to find stuff for a 1998. can anyone tell me the difference because they seem the same.

Assuming you're talking about the classic body style GMT400 C3500...

Basically most production of these body style trucks ended in 1998. However you could still get (usually custom order) "classic" GMT400 trucks in certain configurations until 2000. Most parts sites/stores think you're looking for stuff for a newer body style GMT800 if you plug in the year 2000.

Ok so theres really no difference. I had a 95 and everything looked the same as the 2000 i have now so i thought everything from a 98 would work fine

Thanks for the help everyone this forum is awesome! Heres a pic of my truck. I plan on getting a black bear tune for it so far and i wanna switch to electric fans idk if theres a thread about what ones to use. It has true duals also.

Remember the HD's weren't out till 2001. ALL 1-tons were 400's through 2000. There were 3/4 800's out, but they weren't the 2500HD, although I think they were still 8-lug.

I'm guessing the OP's truck was built at Arlington, like mine was.

I only have parts issues with high performance stuff, or small web retailers that don't have great catalogs. Any of the big sources for stock replacement parts are fine.... well there's Amazon, but I think they're disorganized in general.
