Is this junk? Lower intake manifold swap

Hey guys, wasn’t sure where to post this, first time posting and need some advice. I’m currently replacing my lower intake manifold on my 98 RCSB Z71 Silverado 5.7. I’m replacing it because it cracked at the heater hose quick disconnect housing, so it continuously leaks a good amount of coolant when operating. I opted for a eBay ($100) used one knowing it wouldn’t be perfect, but I didn’t expect this indentation on the rear next to the hole that houses the distributor. Since its right on the edge of the outside would the gasket maker paste still seal properly or should I return and buy an almost new ($300) lower intake manifold. I whould have went with the almost new one, but I was trying to save a couple bucks being that I’m on a budget. Thanks in advance

You can take a file, and clean up that over hang, making a flat surface for the gasket area, and it should be OK.

If that threaded boss is cracked then it is junk, the dings on the gasket surface are nothing to worry about, clean them up with a file like Ktw said.

I'm assuming the crack is your old manifold?

As for the gouges, clean them up, and it'll be fine.

I really appreciate guys, I’m going clean up those gouges and slap it on ole girl. the last 2 photos with the cracks are from the old manifold, definitely junk
