Info on engine

I have a 88 c1500 that has a bad rod knock. I just did some rust repair and spot painting for a guy who is a mechanic in exchange for a good running engine. I can not find much info on a tpa suffix engine. If someone can give me some info on the engine and possibly the heads it would be appreciate

That casting number is for an '86-'94 350,two bolt mains.

early 1 piece block with tbi heads, "fancy" aftermarket intake and that appears to be it

Cool, Thanks for the info. The engine is just what I was looking for then. Just want something that will move my truck. The intake is a edelbrock performer. The guy who I got it from said the guy who had it before him tried to make a carburetor engine out of it and could never get it to run right. The engine in my truck now is a TBI engine so I will use my intake and distributor on it.

you can use that intake just use an adapter
