First history. Fresh engine,.030 over bore, flattop pistons ,906 vortec heads,headers,edelbrock rpm air gap intake, 650 speed bore Holley carb and a hei ignition.
I used the factory hot lead for the coil to the hei and the issue is when I shut the ignition off the engine keeps running until I pull the hot wire off the distributor. Now , if I don't connect it to the dizz,and use a test light ,turn the key on the test light lights up,turn the key light goes out. Now when connected to the hei and I key on and fire the engine and check the hot wire I have power,shut the key off the engine still runs and there is still power at the hot wire. Kinda dumbfounded. Any ideas?
