I want to put a manual trans in a 1990 2wd 7.4L gen 4 engine.

What manual trans would have come standard in a 1990 C3500?

Is this NV4500 transmission a good choice/will it bolt up and fit the crossmember and driveshaft?

I searched about 8 pages in this sub but I'm still not sure what trans I need for the gen4 engine?

SM465 in 1990. The 4500 is a great tranny. Look for 88GMCtruck's NV4500 swap thread. Later on in his main thread he swapped a late 454 into it.
