I have a 1991 Chevy k1500 that originally had a 4.3l V6 in it. I put a 350 in it. It has a 5 speed trans.

You can use a build sheet site like compnine.com but most likely you have a 5LM60, which is a version of the NV3500.

I have a 92 and it has the 5LM60 version of the NV3500, my truck is a C1500 though.

Look at your RPO code sticker in the glove box.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I will get back to you with tranny type and some questions.

Basically, I'm trying to figure out how it will hold up to a basically (headers, no EGR, no cats, that's it) stock 350.

I agree it should be the 5LM60, but if you can't read the RPO in the glove box, try this site to decode your vin#. www.vindecoderz.com

The RPO codes on glove box door, MX0, M31, like these examples. If you cant find a decode or figue it out post it here and someone will decode explain it. Good luck.
