Hey guys. Need some help picking gears for my truck. With the 20's it was alot faster. now with the 24's it has lost a noticable amount of get up and go.What do you guys recommend? was thinking going from the 3.42's to 3.73's. Will I notice a big difference or not enough to be worth it?

usually tire height is what changes the rear gears. If they are alot heavier though that can change things. it's not a big difference really you are going to from 42's to 73's but then again it's not a huge jump in tire size and I think would be a good combo, should put ya right back close to where you were.

Not real sure if I know how to measure right. But from the ground up the center of the wheel to the top of the tire is about 30".

I have some 305/40 22's on our 2DR and it has 3.73's and it could really use 4.10's with that large of a tire, at least for performance.

i had 305/40/22s i was running 3.73s man they worked great

Oh they work, but the engine only does 1700 rpm at 70 and it's lost a lot of it's low end take off power, becuase the larger tires make the gears effectively lower more like 3.42's instead of 3.42's.
