Gas gauge bounces around above half tank

Doesnt do it below half but over half it'll go crazy. It goes as far as the needle will go and back and fourth. Any ideas

Weird, my does the exact opposite. It's true until it gets below a half a tank, then it's all over the place.

Yea will I fill it up it take awhile to do it it's when it gets closer to between 3/4 and 1/2.

75% of the time (or better) it's the sender unit.

Best to also give the wiring a check and make sure the grounding points are good back by the tank...

Ok thanks guys I'll check it out and see what I come up with I was thinkin the same thing just wanted to make sure.

i was able to turn the truck off and stop the needle this far lmao...I blamed it on having a fuel cell with no baffles but i think sending unit makes more since
