I know you'll probably know the answer to this question - I want to get one with the homelink....so is there anything special I will have to do when I swap them, like wiring, etc?

It cant be hard. There are only 2 wires coming off the homelink. Someonecorrect me if im wrong but I think it is just a positive and a negitive. I just got the extra homelink that the OP had. I just met him in portland on Thursday. Thanks again. Both parts are installed just not wired up yet. The compass/temp is going to be a pita but im sure i will get it. I just cant find a good wireing diagtam.

Hey Jason, try this:

BLACK +12V with ignition

WHITE Ground

GREEN Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)

PURPLE with YELLOW STRIPE Ambient Temp Sensor Feed

ORANGE InteriorLights Dimming Feed

RED InteriorLightsFeed

Where is the vss and is there only one wire to hook un to?

Found it!!

The VSS is a dark green/white wire on the factory stereo wiring.
It's only applicable on the 96+.
