Fuel tank size

Shortbed truck's have a 26 gallon from the factory and long bed truck's have a 34 from the factory, but a lot of places have the 26 listed wrong as a 25 gallon.

^^^Depends on Us or Imperial gallons as well. I just got a new tank for my '89 RCSB and it is the smaller tank. Like you said the 34 gallon tanks are on the long bed trucks because there isn't room for the larger tank in the shorter framed short box trucks.

34 gallons are a bit longer than 60 inches.
