fuel gauge

Jus twondering if anyone has ever ran into the problem of the fuel gauge not working .. i got a 1990 moonies. I took the tank out when i did my drop, and ever since it stoped working. So i was assuming thats what the problem was. So i lift the box last night, and checked the wires, checked the ground... everything appears ok. does anyone have the wiring diagram? i also have another fuel gauge, so ill give that one a shot..

Is it on empty or full?? On my 94 when I dropped the tank and put a pump in, the little wire inside on the sending unit fell off the sensor 3 days later and pegged it to E
