I know man. I went to my local one to grab some hood hinges and it was miserable.
Supposed to hit 101 or 102 this weekend.....well it IS July in Houston. If they would let me bring my ice chest in, but they probably won't. I've been to the yards many times in the summer, just the older I get, the less fun it is. And when you get dehydrated, it's lots easier to hurt yourself and lose tools. Been there done that!

any one know where i can get a fan shroud for a 94 with a 34" radiator? Iv looked but All i can find are one for the smaller radiators. Any one have one they would sell?
Not really sure what fan set up you are running. Are you still running a clutch fan or electric(s). what are you wanting to accomplish. I have several different builds of 34” shrouds for single clutch and electric fans also. Let me know if the shroud I’m talking about here doesn’t work for you. This is for 2 16” fan. The champion radiator 34” shroud for the cc1520 radiator works perfect. Buy it on eBay for free shipping. It says it works for champion radiators, but it also works for stock radiators, you just have use 4 self tapping screws or bolts (see second pick on were you put the screws or drill holes).Last picture shows how much room you have left with the champion shroud. But my truck has a 454 and a 3 row radiator. If you have a 2 row Radiator you will have more room

I had to replace my broken shroud a few years ago. I think hydro dip would make the engine bay look really nice. What color hydro dip? Its a little confusing on the shroud, But you have to look it up by gm part number. Then the updated part number. Don’t buy from carid the lower radiator ships for $99. Also You will have only a 28”core with an oil cooler and 34” core without oil cooler. Just type in the updated part number on eBay

Carid list upper shroud is part number 15739587 for 34” radiator core with updated part number Gm3110126 thru eBay $41.88 with free shipping a. The upper ribs were changed a little so you may want to sand them off to make the shroud smooth.

carid list the lower shroud as part number 15954691 for 34” radiator core but updated the part number to GM3110144 thru eBay $28.88 with free shipping.

Doesn't the later model ones have a "channel" or something for the alternator wire? Mine doest. I didnt think about looking for a 3/4 or 1 ton shroud
My 95 has the channel that you are talking about. If I remember right that is the first year that it started.

A shroud like this hurts airflow at highway speed. The only air that can flow is the area where the fans sit and even they restrict a bit. When I tossed my factory duals in favor of a single unshrouded Spal my temps dropped from 195 on the highway to 187 with a factory thermostat. Since the Spal outflowed the stockers it still cools at a standstill.
