Ext cab 60/40 into single cab trouble

New to the forum. I just bought 60/40 seats put of a 96 ext cab and i am trying to install them into my 97 gmc sierra and the driver seat inner bracket doesnt sit flush. One side is taller that the other over the trans hump. Any help?

make a slice thru both sides of the rear leg at the 90*point and bend it outward towards the back of the cab till it sits lower and level

Thank so pretty much make the slits exactly were i want the bracket to sit right?

Hi,
I just went through this process and happy to take a photo to sho you how it turned out. I cut the back leg down in line with the rail, then cut the 'foot' with the bolt hole off the vertical part i just cut off, then welded the foot back in line with the rail. This lowered it perfectly, and also kept the seat level. Hard to explain but if you need a photo let me know. Good luck
