Exhaust smells really rich need suggestions

haven't checked the plugs or egr yet I've been busy working all week and I don't get out till it's dark and with no garage it doesn't leave me much time to do anything. I am vacation all next week though and plan to tackle this issue. As well as some others so I will keep you posted on my results. Whats a sure fire easy way to tell if a catalytic converter is clogged out of curiosity ?

What thermostat you have in it 180 or 195?

Not sure what temp the thermostat is this is a new to me truck. I've only had a week. I do know that the radiator was replaced not too long before I got it.
