EGR Delete, Blackbox PCM

I've read that HPTuner no longer provides the ability to delete EGR, whether 0411 or Blackbox (if I am not mistaken, HPTuner does support 98-00 5.7L).

Does anyone have experience using EFILive to delete EGR on the Blackbox? I don't really need or want to tune the 5.7L, so I am not interested in a 0411 swap. I would just like to delete EGR in order to avoid having carbon accumulate in the IM on a new engine I am going to swap in eventually.

I also have a 97 and looking to delete my egr.
As far as my research goes, I found that either Westers Garage or Jet DST are the only ones that can tune the 96-97 black box. Check out Solomon Tuning also , you can mail your pcm to him and he can delete the egr and set highway cruise parameters for you.

Millions of vehicles have zero problems with "carbon accumulation" due to EGR.

Very few do have problems.

Not worth the time, money, effort, or enthusiasm to delete EGR.
