Well got under the truck a bit today. Backed the truck out because I had to get up into the attic.
Finally got to see it actually drip. Saw a drop basically on either side of the crossmember. Right where the driveshaft and tranny meet. But it doesn't look like its right from there though. The whole crossmember has like a sheen of oil on it. Doesn't look like tranny fluid though.
I'm stumped. I'm also not a mechanic, lol. That doesn't help things either.

it sounds like its that seal in the end of the tailshaft. Thats an awful long ways from the motor if it was the rear main.... then again that also a lot of fluid fom just sittin.. well there is an easy way to determine whats been low trans fluid or oil?

True. There is low trans fluid and the oil also goes down. Ask Eric, lol. Had to top it off when he got done with the truck.

damn that sux I bet it is that rear main too if its going through a bunch of oil. Specailly seeing how your trans pan looks covered....if you wanna get it checked out Ive gotta an older guy down here that is real cheap and damn good. Ive had him do a lot of work for me over the last prob 6 years.Gimme a txt and Ill give you his number if you want.

Not much has happened to it. Added the grille. Also got some tinted corner lights and some new headlights off of e3mcgrath. Been contemplating selling it. Needs some work done that I don't have time/money to do at this point because the wife just had this guy Nov. 27th
